Rapla Korvpallikool, known as AVIS Rapla for sponsorship reasons, is an Estonian professional basketball club based in Rapla, Estonia. They play in the Estonian Meistriliiga and internationally in the regional Baltic Basketball League.

History

The club's predecessor, basketball club Rapla, was founded in 1996 as a division of the Rapla Sports School, developing both men's and women's basketball players. In 2004, Rapla Korvpallikool was formed.^[1]

In 2010, Rapla moved to the Sadolin Sports Hall and was promoted to the first tier level Meistriliiga. The team finished their first regular season 6th under the head coach Indrek Ruut, reaching the playoffs but being eliminated in the quarter-finals by TTÜ/Kalev with a record of 1–3. In 2011, Rapla joined the regional Baltic Basketball League. In 2012, Rapla reached the Estonian Cup finals but finished as runners-up after being beaten by Rakvere Tarvas 64–81.^[2] In 2014, Ruut was replaced as head coach by the former Estonia national basketball team player Aivar Kuusmaa. Rapla finished the 2014–15 season in third place.
