The Back On the Road Tour was a concert tour by American hard rock band Aerosmith, played for eighteen shows in Latin America and Japan in late 2011. From late October to early November, the band performed ten shows in Latin America, with six shows scheduled in South America (including the band's first-ever performance in the countries of Ecuador and Paraguay), three shows in Mexico, and one show in Central America, where the band performed in Panama for the first time in their careers. Frontman Steven Tyler said of the tour, "I'm looking forward to sweating up a storm with the crazy Latin American fans." From late November to early December, the band also performed eight shows in Japan. This marked the band's first performances in Japan in seven years.

Setlist
While Aerosmith has adjusted the setlist significantly from show to show, a typical setlist would look like this:
- "Rag Doll"
- "Amazing"
- "What it Takes
- "Last Child"
- "Stop Messin' Around" or "Combination"
- "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing"
- "Cryin'"
- "Sweet Emotion"
Encore:
Aerosmith performed anywhere between 16 and 21 songs at each concert.
List of songs played
Performances of the songs "Combination", "Stop Messin' Around", and "Red House" feature guitarist Joe Perry on lead vocals. A brief snippet of the unreleased song "Meltdown" was played as an intro to "Red House" at the first Tokyo show.
Steven Tyler has also been performing the first part of "Home Tonight" solo on the piano before performing "Dream On". At the shows in Bogotá, Fukuoka, and Osaka, part of "You See Me Crying" was played as an intro, and at the show in Hiroshima and the second show in Tokyo, part of Tyler's solo single "Love Lives" was performed as an intro. A portion of "Come Together" was played before "Walk This Way" at the Osaka show.
Drummer Joey Kramer has performed a drum solo at every show. The solo occurs in the middle of the set, usually after the seventh song.
There was no encore in Lima. There was no official explanation of this.
There were several sound issues at the show in Guadalajara. As a result, "Love in an Elevator" was halted mid-performance, and resumed when the sound came back, and only a portion of "Lord of the Thighs" was played. In addition, Brad Whitford's son, Harrison, joined the band onstage to perform "Last Child".
Rock for the Rising Sun
Various performances from the Japanese shows on the tour were used on the multi-media release of the Aerosmith concert movie, Rock for the Rising Sun.
