Barbara Palacios,(born December 9, 1963 in Madrid, Spain)[1] is a Spanish-Venezuelan TV Host, writer and beauty queen. she is the third woman from Venezuela to capture the Miss Universe crown, on July 21, 1986 in Panama.
Personal life
She was born to divorced[3] actor[2] parents Jorge Palacios and Bárbara Teyde,[3] (a Spanish actress with a prolific acting career in Venezuela, who died in September 2008). Palacios Teyde has several half-siblings, among them Georgina Palacios and Gian Piero Pérez Spagna. When she was one year old, her parents moved to Caracas (Venezuela), where she grew up.
After Miss Universe
Palacios has worked as a television host for over two decades, and has been a spokesperson for multinational corporations in the United States and Latin America.
She has founded several advertising agencies, and as of 2010 owns Barbara Palacios Corporation, a U.S.-based company that commercializes women products, with lines of jewelry and beauty products sold in stores under her name in Florida, United States. The Barbara Palacios Casual line of products is distributed in several Latin American countries.
Her being a perpetual motivator, public speaker, advocate and promoter of a holistic lifestyle along with her understanding of diverse cultures around the world have enabled her to combine her professional background as a publicist with her unique life experiences in order to launch her newest enterprise: BP Inspiration, where she's the main motivational speaker.
Palacios is now married to Víctor Manrique, with whom she has two sons, Víctor Tomás and Diego Alfonso.[4]
