Barli is a Gram panchayat in Balijipeta mandal of Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh, India.
Barli is located between Bobbili town and Balijipeta, the mandal headquarters.
Demographics
According to Indian census, 2001, the demographic details of Barli village are as follows
- Total population: 2,512 in 599 households.
- Male population: 1,223
- Female population: 1,290
- Children under 6 years of age: 273 (boys - 134 and girls - 139)
- Total literates: 1,180
Features
- The village has a government school, which teaches up to 7th class and also had a private school name Sri sai public school up to 10th class.
- Gullipalli Satyam Naidu was the first Sarpanch of Barli Gram panchayat.
- There are two Ramalayam temples, Anajaneya Swamy temple, Shiva temple, Ayyappaswami temple and two churches in the village.
- The occupation of the people is agriculture. They are mostly rain-fed. The major crops are paddy, sugarcane, groundnuts and jute.
- Tamara Cheruvu is the largest water reservoir with some farm lands under its ayacut and other resources are chinthala bandha and pathi chervu.
