Basai wetland (बसई झील), located in basai village in Gurgaon tehsil in Gurgaon District in Haryana, India, is a flora and fauna rich water body.

Location

Basai is 4 km distance from its District main city Gurgaon and 282 km distance from its State main city Chandigarh.[1][2]

Wetland

Basai village is famed for Basai wetland home of endangered migrant birds, which is under threat from the unsustainable development and urbanization.[3]

Among the birds found here are Tringa glareola, Yellow-bellied prinia and Smoky warbler.[4][5][6]
