Bessemer Historical Society
The Bessemer Historical Society in Pueblo, Colorado operates the Steelworks Museum of Industry and Culture, site of the company archives for Colorado Fuel and Iron.
The Bessemer Historical Society takes its name from the community of Bessemer, Colorado, site of the Colorado Coal and Iron Bessemer Works which was named after the Bessemer process for making steel invented by Henry Bessemer.[1]
Colorado Coal and Iron Company merged with Colorado Fuel Company to form Colorado Fuel and Iron in 1892.[1][2]
