Białowąs [bʲaˈwɔvɔ̃s] (German: Balfanz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Barwice, within Szczecinek County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Barwice, 29 km (18 mi) north-west of Szczecinek, and 121 km (75 mi) east of the regional capital Szczecin.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. The German name of the village was Balfanz. Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles.
