Bieżyce [bjɛˈʐɨt͡sɛ] (German: Groß Bösitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gubin, within Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Gubin, 26 km (16 mi) south-west of Krosno Odrzańskie, and 51 km (32 mi) west of Zielona Góra.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II). After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
