Billy King (born 12 May 1994)[1] is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Rangers, on loan from Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian, as a forward.

Club career

A member of the club's under-20 squad[2] on 27 October 2012, King was promoted to the first team for their match against Ross County[3] where he was an unused substitute.[4] He remained an unused substitute on three further occasions[3] before on 30 January 2013, King aged 18,[5] made his first team debut[6] playing from the start in a 1–0 victory over Dundee in the Scottish Premier League.[7]

In January 2016, King moved on loan to Scottish Championship side Rangers until the end of the season, with the move taking place to allow King to get first-team games in order to continue his recovery from injury.[8] He made his first appearance for Rangers against Falkirk on 30 January 2016, coming on as a substitute for Kenny Miller, scoring the winning goal in the 90th minute.[9]

International career

He has represented Scotland at under-15[10] and at under-16 level.[11] King was called up to the under-19 team in August 2012, for an international challenge match against Norway but had to withdraw.[12] He then took part in their Dutch training camp in January,[13] playing in a friendly against Dutch team Telstar.[14]

He was called up to the Scotland under-21 squad on 31 August 2014.[15]
