The software company Sharetronix LLC in San Francisco, California, produces an enterprise social software suite, encompassing blogs, wikis, social networking, microblogging, real-time collaboration and document management. The company has offices in the United States, Europe, and Canada, with headquarters in Berkeley, California. Early in 2012, the company changed its name to Sharetronix.
Blogtronix was founded in 2005 by Vassil Mladjov.[1] Blogtronix Enterprise 1.5 was released in November 2006. Information World Review and CMSWire compared Blogtronix 1.5 favorably to Intel's SuiteTwo collaboration platform, which was a combination of several different collaboration elements including Socialtext.[2][3] Blogtronix 3.5 was debuted Nov 16–20, 2009, at the Web 2.0 Expo in New York City.[4] Notable clients include Thomson-Reuters,[5] Red Herring,[6] and Telus.[7] In 2008 and 2009, Blogtronix was included in the Gartner Reporting Magic Quadrant for Social Software[8] Gartner listed Blogtronix as a "social software vendor" in its "Collaboration and Social Software Vendor Guide" for 2009.[9] In December 2009, Blogtronix was named to Red Herring's Global 100 finalist list.[10]
The company sponsors an open-source microblogging social software platform called Sharetronix Open Source. Sharetronix cites that it powers over 50,000 communities in over 170 countries and is available in 33 languages.[11]

- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008
Requirements for Sharetronix 1.0:[13]

- MySQL – version 5.0 or higher
- PHP – version 5.1 or higher
