Braňany (German Prohn) is a village and municipality (obec) in Most District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 6.12 square kilometres (2.36 sq mi), and has a population of 1,195 (as at 28 August 2006).
Braňany lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Most, 28 km (17 mi) south-west of Ústí nad Labem, and 72 km (45 mi) north-west of Prague.
