The Borough of Brecknock (Welsh: Bwrdeistref Brycheiniog) was one of the three local government districts of the county of Powys, Wales, formed under the terms of the Local Government Act 1972 from the administrative county of Brecknockshire (with the exception of Brynmawr, Llanelly, Penderyn, and Vaynor).
The borough comprised the majority of the historic county of Brecknockshire and was in existence from 1974 to 1996, when it was abolished by the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994 and became part of the county of Powys.
