Brook International School, Sasthamcotta

Brook International School (BIS) Sasthamcotta is an International English medium school, affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi, with affiliation Number 930717.[1] located on 5.7 acres (23,000 m2) of land on the bank of Lake Sasthamkotta in Kerala, India. Its faculty consists of 60 teachers, who teach 1225 students. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and owned and managed by the Viva Trust.[2]

Brook International School started with kindergarten to classes VI in the 2005–06 academic year and subsequent standards were added each year, so that the school now offers all primary and secondary grades up to 12th. The school has room for over 60 class divisions and is equipped with science labs, library, audiovisual centers, language lab, networked computers, and conference facilities. The school also has a dedicated music room and an art classroom.[3] Native speakers teach the foreign language classes and there is a student exchange program.

The grounds offer a children’s park and sports fields for cricket, football, basketball, volleyball and badminton.[3] There is also a games room and various indoor games are supported, including tabletennis and chess.[3]

There is a chance for learning vocal music and instrumental in the School.

The Clubs like Environment, Reading, General Knowledge and Science club function very effectively.

There are medical checkups for all students by specialist doctors with attention to eyesight, hearing, and dental care. The school provides hostels for students who come from a distance.

Brook International is 12 kilometers east of the National Highway from Karunagappally, 18 kilometers southwest of MC Road from Adoor, and connected by network of roads and railways to nearby cities and pilgrimage center.
