Bua Kanwari Museum (Hindi: बुआ कंवारी संघ्रालय), is located at Kanwari village, in Hansi-I Tehsil of the Hisar District, state of Haryana, India.
Location
It is situated 166 kilometres (103 mi) from the national capital Delhi and 24 kilometres (15 mi) from the district headquarters Hisar on the Hisar-Tosham road.
The Bua Kanwari Museum is an in-stu museum inside the Bua Kanwari Dham temple. During the early first decade of twenty first century, villagers had dug the site of temple after demolishing the earlier smaller shrine of Bua Kanwari to build the current larger Bua Kanwari Dham, several ancient artifacts were found. These artifcats include craved stone sculptures of Hindu motifs, design and deities. The carvings seem to be of Negara Hindu temple architecture and may date back to seventh to eleventh century CE Gurjara-Pratihara era. Some of these are now set in cement in open-air at the back of south wall of main temple building, and some have been loosely stored in the underground cemented cavern below the Bua kanwari Dham temple building.[1][2][3]
