Buff Wood

Buff Wood

Buff Wood has a core of ancient woodland, with surrounding areas of secondary woodland planted from the Middle Ages onward.[1] The wood is 15.6 ha (38.5 acres) in area, managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough.[2] It is located south of the village of Hatley St George in the county of Cambridgeshire. It has been an SSSI since 1958, and has been extensively used for scientific research by the University of Cambridge.[1]
