Burdell is an unincorporated community in Marin County, California.^[1] It is located on the Northwestern Pacific Railroad 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north of downtown Novato,^[2] at an elevation of 3 feet (1 m).^[1]

The name honors the Burdell family, who owned the Rancho Olompali land grant.^[2]
