CIUX-FM

CIUX-FM is a new English language FM radio station which will broadcast a classic hits format on the frequency of 105.5 MHz/FM in Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada.

History

On April 3, 2012, Frank Torres, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated, received approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to operate CIUX-FM. [1] The applicant indicated that its proposed new station would be a first radio service for the community of Uxbridge.

The branding of this new station will be 105.5 HITS FM. Officially launched on September 21st 2015. A song by Julien Kelland a local artist was the first song to be played on the station. Local Uxbridge resident Dan Pollard who has worked at CBC Radio and Television and Sportsnet TV and the NHL Network was the first Morning Man. [2]
