California Hill State Forest is a New York State Forest in Putnam County, New York. The forest, about 950 acres (380 ha), was created in 2007 when the state bought land that made contiguous three existing multiple use areas at Pudding Street, Gordon Road, and California Hill.[1] Lands designated as New York State Forests must have at least contiguous 500 acres (200 ha).
