Castelnovo del Friuli (Friulian: Cjastelgnûf) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pordenone in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northeast of Pordenone. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 928 and an area of 22.6 square kilometres (8.7 sq mi).[1]
Castelnovo del Friuli borders the following municipalities: Clauzetto, Pinzano al Tagliamento, Tramonti di Sotto, Travesio, Vito d'Asio.
