The Castilian languages are Castilian (Spanish) and its closest relatives. Besides derivatives of Spanish such as Ladino, this refers principally to Extremaduran.

Name

The term "Castilian languages" is used in the 17th edition of Ethnologue. It is used virtually nowhere else.
