Celle di Bulgheria is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. As of 2011 its population was of 1,934.[1]
History
The town was named after the Bulgars who settled here in the early Middle Ages.
Geography
Celle Bulgheria is located in Southern Cilento, near the mount Bulgheria, and borders with the municipalities of Camerota, Centola, Laurito, Montano Antilia and Roccagloriosa. Its hamlet (frazione) is the nearby village of Poderia.
