Location

Centrale is a station on Line 2 and on Line 3 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The station was inaugurated in 1970, and it became an interchange with Line 3 in 1990.

The station was the terminus of Line 2 until 1971, when the trains reached Porta Garibaldi, and of Line 3 until 1991, when Sondrio was opened.

The station is located just under the Milan Central Station. The station is underground with 2 tracks in a single tunnel both for Line 3 and Line 2, Line 2 running deeper than Line 3. The station also serves the Pirelli Tower.
