Chełmiec [ˈxɛu̯mjɛt͡s] is a village in Nowy Sącz County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Chełmiec. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) west of Nowy Sącz and 71 km (44 mi) south-east of the regional capital Kraków.[1]
The village has a population of 2,657.
