Chetnole railway station is a small rural station serving the village of Chetnole, Dorset, England. The station is on the Heart of Wessex Line 21¼ miles (34 km) north of Weymouth towards Westbury.

History

The station was opened on 11 September 1933, being originally built of timber. This was replaced by a concrete structure, believed to be in the 1960s. The line was singled in 1968.

Services

The station is a request stop where passengers are to signal the driver to board or ask the guard on the train to arrange for the train to stop if they wish to alight. Great Western Railway operate services between Gloucester and Weymouth. Later this year, an additional service will run once on a Saturday between Weymouth and Yeovil Junction operating from late May to early September each year.
