The Chief Justice of Kenya is the head of the Judiciary of Kenya and President of the Supreme Court of Kenya and is an office established under Article 163 of the Kenyan Constitution. The Chief Justice is appointed by the country's President on the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission subject to the approval of the National Assembly. He or she is assisted by the Deputy Chief Justice who is also the Deputy President of the Supreme Court.[1]

The current Chief Justice is Willy Munyoki Mutunga, who was appointed in 2011.
