Chuck Tingle

Chuck Tingle is the pseudonym of an anonymous author of niche erotica.^[1][2] The persona is portrayed as a folksy father from Montana. Tingle stays in-character during interviews and on his Twitter feed.^[3] His work is self-published on Amazon.com.^[4][5][6][7] Tingle began with writing dinosaur erotica and expanded to stories based on various inanimate objects.^[8] His work has been described as "absurd" and "bizarre".^[9][10] In April 2015, he began writing a sex advice column at Death and Taxes magazine.^[11]

In April 2016, Space Raptor Butt Invasion was shortlisted for a Hugo Award for Best Short Story,^[12] as part of the Rabid Puppies campaign to influence the outcome of the 2016 Hugo Awards.^[13] Tingle has stated via his Twitter account that if he wins, Zoë Quinn will accept the award on his behalf.^[14]
