Henry Russell Walter, known professionally as Cirkut, is a Canadian record producer and songwriter. Described by The Hollywood Reporter as record producer Dr. Luke's "right-hand man and main production partner",[2] he has co-produced and co-written for Jessie J, Britney Spears, Kesha, Rihanna, Shakira, Nicki Minaj, B.o.B, Lil Wayne, and Taylor Swift, including the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles, "Part of Me", "Roar", and "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry, and "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus.

Life and career

Walter was raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia and moved to Toronto in 2004. As a member of the Toronto-based band Let's Go to War, he co-produced the Britney Spears song, "Mmm Papi", which appeared on her 2008 album, Circus. The trio had submitted it as an instrumental track to Kobalt Music Group via their attorney Chris Taylor, where producer Nicole Morier began using it to write with Britney Spears.[3]

Walter opened The Dreamhouse Recording Studio in Toronto in 2010 with partners Adrien Gough and Alex Bonenfant. He then relocated to Los Angeles, California to work with Dr. Luke's production team.[4] He co-produced "Part of Me", the title song to Katy Perry's 2012 concert film, Katy Perry: Part of Me. He co-wrote and co-produced 12 songs on Kesha's 2012 album, Warrior.[5] Walter also produces with Adrien Gough as the production duo Dream Machine, responsible for producing and co-writing The Weeknd's track "High for This".
