Jabara (citrus)
Jabara or Citrus jabara (ja:ジャバラ) refers to the plant and fruit of the Japanese citrus family. The botanical abbreviation author is Chōzaburō Tanaka. Jabara is a fruit similar to the yuzu. It is favored in Wakayama Prefecture for the flavonoid narirutin, the active chemical which has been shown to diminish the effects of pollen allergies.[1]
