Coast Dairies is a 5,843-acre protected area in Santa Cruz County, California, near the city of Davenport.[1] It was purchased by environmentalists in 1998, with $44 million from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and is preserved from development. Conservation groups have proposed that it be turned into the Santa Cruz Redwoods National Monument The proposal has received Congressional support.[2][3]
