Colin O'Reilly
Colin O'Reilly (born 30 January 1984 in Cork, Ireland) is an Irish professional basketball player who is currently a player/coach for the UCC Demons of the Irish Premier League. The 200 cm forward has also played for the Killarney Gleneagle Lakers and has had stints overseas in Germany, Switzerland and England.
O'Reilly played Division III college basketball in the United States in the early 2000s and later represented the Irish national team.
On 26 March 2015, O'Reilly was named an inaugural All-Premier League first teamer alongside UCC Demons teammates Kyle Hosford and Lehmon Colbert.[1] Three days later, he helped the Demons create Irish basketball history by winning the Champions Trophy and adding to their undefeated 2014–15 season. With a 24–0 record, the club also won the League and National Cup titles. In addition, O'Reilly earned Champions Trophy MVP honours after scoring 25 points in the final.[2] He was later named both Player of the Year and Coach of the Year for the 2014–15 season.[3][4] In 2015–16, he helped the Demons reclaim both the Premier League title and the Champions Trophy.[5]
O'Reilly's older brother, Niall, also plays basketball.[6]
