College of Pharmacy, Pune

The College of Pharmacy, located at Narhe in the outskirts of Pune, India, operates under the banner of the Abhinav Education Society. The college was established in 2007 and offers a 4-year graduation course in Pharmacy (Bachelor of Pharmacy).[1] The degree is awarded by the University of Pune. The Principal is R. D. Patankar.

This is one of ten unaided colleges which started pharmacy from academic session 2007-08.[2]

One of the lecturers, Keyur V. Shastri, has produced an essay on the chiropractic field.[3]

History

To foster the occupational needs of Pharma industries, research institutes have excellent infrastructure with all the required modern gadgets for provision of quality education in the relevant fields .[4] There was no Pharmacy College in this region till 1981 and Dr. Patangrao Kadam, Founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth, realising the necessity for training the students for placement and training pupils with the latest happenings in the corporate globe .[5]
