Columbus Township is one of twenty-two townships in Adams County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 551 and it contained 238 housing units.[1]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 37.36 square miles (96.8 km2), of which 37.28 square miles (96.6 km2) (or 99.79%) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km2) (or 0.21%) is water.[1]
