Coombeshead Academy, formerly Coombeshead College, is an academy in Newton Abbot, Devon, England. It has a specialism in maths and the arts. As of April 2015 the academy had approximately 1000 pupils and was designated a 'good school on the cusp of outstanding' by Ofsted. [1]

In the 2014/15 school year, Coombeshead recorded record results once again in terms of five or more C or higher GCSEs including English and maths. Results have improved over 12% in four years. The school has a welcoming air and its students were rated outstanding by Ofsted.[2]

Bushell Theatre

In the 2011 Spring term Coombeshead Academy opened The Bushell to the community. The theatre is used for the school's expressive arts shows, music concerts, drama productions and some assemblies.

Templer Academy Schools' Trust

Since early 2013 Coombeshead has been part of Templer Academy Schools' Trust (TAST) several schools are part of TAST including Teign School, Rydon Primary School and Christow Primary School. TAST also includes TQ12, a skills and training centre.
