Craig Allen Cardon (born December 30, 1948) has been a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since 2006.
Cardon was born in Mesa, Arizona. He studied accounting and received a bachelor's degree at Arizona State University. He later received a master’s degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. During his professional career he was self-employed with various business interests.
On April 1, 2006, Cardon was called as a member of the LDS Church's Second Quorum of the Seventy. From 2006 to 2011, he served first as a counselor and then as president of the church's Africa West Area. On March 31, 2012, he was transferred to the First Quorum of the Seventy. In 2011, he was assigned as an Assistant Executive Director in the Priesthood Department and also assists in the supervision of two of the church's North American areas.
From 2012 to 2015, Cardon served as editor of the church's magazines (Liahona, Ensign, New Era, and The Friend). In 2015, Joseph W. Sitati succeeded him as editor, with Cardon becoming an adviser to the magazines, a role Sitati had been serving in.
Cardon's previous church service includes a full-time mission in the Italian Mission, president of the Italy Rome Mission (1983–86), stake president, bishop, high councilor, counselor in a stake presidency and bishopric, elders quorum president, institute instructor, and Sunday School gospel doctrine teacher.
Cardon is married to Deborah Louise Dana and they have eight children.
