Crystal Nicole Johnson, better known by her stage name Cristyle or sometimes credited as Cri$tyle is an American songwriter signed with So So Def/EMI Music in 2007.[1] Crystal Nicole signed with Blackground Records and Interscope Records in October 2010. In June 2011, Nicole released her first single "Pinch Me", which was written by Crystal Nicole and produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox.

Career

Johnson was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and wrote her first song at the age of ten. She got her start in singing at different talent shows and open mics in Atlanta.

Cristyle has written songs for Girlicious, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, Teyana Taylor, Tiffany Evans, Chilli, Natasha Bedingfield, Wonder Girls, Rihanna, and Jessica Sanchez and often co-writes. She has co-written several songs with Mariah Carey amongst other artists. Recently she wrote songs featured on the projects of Brandy, Ciara, Jennifer Hudson, and Beyoncé.[2][3][4]
