Cristeşti (Hungarian: Maroskeresztúr, Hungarian pronunciation: [mɒroʃkɛrstuːr]) is a commune in Mureş County, Romania that is composed of two villages:
- Cristeşti
- Vălureni / Székelykakasd
Demographics
The commune has a relative Székely Hungarian majority. According to the 2002 Census it has a population of 5,591 of which 49.49% or 2,767 are Hungarian. 2,421 or 43.3% are Romanians.
