Darrin Lamoureux

Darrin Lamoureux is a politician in Saskatchewan, Canada. He was acclaimed leader of the Saskatchewan Liberal Party on August 8, 2014 after serving as interim party leader since December 16, 2013.[1]

His older brother Kevin Lamoureux is a Manitoba politician and MP for the constituency of Winnipeg North and his niece Cindy Lamoureux is an MLA in the Manitoba Legislature.

The Liberals have not held a seat in the Legislature since 2003. Lamoureux first attempted to win a seat when he contested a by-election in Lloydminster but only collected 77 votes (2.7% of the total), barely enough for third place ahead of the Progressive Conservative candidate. In the 2016 general election, Lamoureux ran in the new constituency of Regina Pasqua, again finishing third albeit with a larger share of the vote (958 votes, 10.9%).[2]
