Dave McConnell (born 25 March 1981) is an English born Scottish rugby league footballer for Leigh Centurions in National League One.

Dave McConnell's position of choice is as a hooker, but he can also cover at stand-off/five-eighth, scrum-half/halfback, second-row, or loose forward/lock.

He has previously played for St. Helens and London Broncos in the European Super League. He has also played for Chorley Lynx and Rochdale Hornets.

McConnell is a Scotland international.

He was named in the Scotland training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.^[1]
