Dewangan

Dewangan is a Chattisgarhi caste of weavers of silk and fine cotton cloth. They are renowned for production of Kosa Silk and mostly belong from central region of India, specially Chhattisgarh.

Dewangans worship Maa Parmeshwari as Kuldevi and Parmeshwari Jyanti is celebrated on the occasion of Basant Panchami. On Parmeshwari Jayanti processions (Shobha Yatra) and various cultural events are organised.
