Orthodox Eparchy of Minsk and Slutsk

Diocese of Minsk and Slutsk (Russian: Минская и Слуцкая епархия, Belarusian: Мінская і Слуцкая епархія) is an eparchy of the Belarusian Orthodox Church which is under the rule of the Russian Orthodox Church.

History

Established by imperial decree of 13 April 1793 for the western regions have joined the Russian Empire on the second partition of Poland, instead of Turov diocese, which remained until 1798 run by the Kyiv Metropolis, as well as episcopal Slutsk. Originally chair was in Slutsk and was moved to Minsk, September 3, 1799 by the decree of April 12, 1795.
