LLamasoft, Inc. is a software company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The company develops and markets software and services to model supply chain networks for potential service and cost benefits. Founded in 1998 by Donald Hicks and Toby Brzoznowski. In 2015 LLamasoft acquired IBM’s LogicTools supply chain applications business unit. Supply Chain Guru enables users to model, optimize and simulate supply chain network operations. Design alternatives and explore the service, performance, costs and risks associated with change.
SupplyChainGuru.com is a SaaS-based supply chain design platform. Elevates models to the Web as enterprise-wide working documents for collaborative initiatives.
Transportation Guru integrates network design and transportation routing, enabling optimization of global transportation networks and simulation of cost and service improvements to existing transportation operations.
Supply Chain Sherpa allows users to rapidly prototype supply chain designs using a touch-screen tablet.
Data Guru simplifies the transformation of data for business users and creates documented, repeatable, time-saving workflows.
Data Services provides supply chain design benchmark and reference data to reduce model building time and validate inputs and outputs against realistic standards.
Partnerships
Nike, Inc. has a minority stake in the company acquired in October 2012.[7] At the same time, MK Capital, a Chicago-based venture capital fund, announced investment of $6.1 million of venture capital funding to LLamasoft Inc. As part of the investment, Josh Beebe, a partner at MK Capital, joined the LLamasoft board.[8] In 2015 Goldman Sachs announced an investment of $50 million in a Series B financing round to help fund expansion and research and development.
