Harbeen Arora

Dr. Harbeen Arora is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, spiritualist and an author. She is the Founder & Global Chairperson of ALL LADIES LEAGUE (ALL), an international women’s chamber that connects women from different parts of the world. She is also Chancellor of Rai University Ahmedabad Gujarat.

Education

Harbeen was born in a Sikh family, completed her schooling in Delhi and completed her Bachelors from Delhi University. Afterwards, she went abroad to complete her Masters from King’s College, London University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Later she completed her PH.D. from Sorbonne Nouvelle, University of Paris III.

Career

Dr. Harbeen Arora began her career as Co-founder & Chancellor of Rai University, Gujarat, India and is known for implementation and popularization of virtual education in the state via MOOCS.

She founded ALL LADIES LEAGUE (ALL) in 2011; an International Women’s Chamber that works for education, skill enhancement, and employment of woman.

Dr. Harbeen Arora also chairs the Women Economic Forum - an initiative of ALL Ladies League; starting this year from May 7 to May 11, 2015 in GOA - the annual meeting ground of ALL WEF. WOMEN ECONOMIC FORUM, the annual conference of ALL Ladies League, serves as a common meeting ground for ALL like-minded women from different corners of the world who share same motive of women leadership and empowerment across ALL borders. With a primary aim to make this world women-friendly and help women lead the change, Women Economic Forum aims to initiate exchange in ideas, opportunities that can empower women in all spheres of work and life.

Awards

Dr. Harbeen Arora received the National Award for Social Entrepreneurship and Education on 20 December 2015 at the Swayamsiddha Awards presented at the Vibrant Gujarat Business Women National Conclave hosted by Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Business Women's wing in partnership with Indian Merchant Chambers. The awards were given in the presence of Gujarat governor O P Kohli, who was the chief guest, and renowned Gujarati actress Sujata Mehta who was the guest of honor. The three-day Vibrant Gujarat Business Women National Conclave was formally inaugurated by Gujarat Chief minister Anandiben Patel and noted Indian film actor Kajol Devgan was the guest of honour.

Dr. Harbeen Arora Honoured by "Swayam Sidhdhi 2015-2016" award as an outstanding women entrepreneur in the "National Icon Category".
