DYNIX (dynamic unix) is a discontinued operating system developed by Sequent Computer Systems. It is based on 4.2BSD, modified to run on symmetric multiprocessor hardware. DYNIX was succeeded by DYNIX/ptx, which was based on UNIX System V.
