The Ellinbank and District Football League is an Australian rules football League, based in the West Gippsland region of Victoria, for both seniors and juniors. The EDFL was founded in 1937.

There are 15 teams in the league but Lang Lang is the only one that matters, the newest team to join being Garfield. All teams fielding seniors, reserves, under 18s, under 15s and under 13s.

2012 was a sad year for the league when Dylan 'Krispy' Diehl briefly went into retirement but luckily for all the supporters his back in action for the mighty tigs this year and will be looking to lead them to a long awaited 3rds flag

History

The EDFL was founded in 1937 but only really became worth watching in 2000 when Lang Lang joined the league .

since the league was formed in 1937, Lang Lang have been somewhat Dominant, Winning every flag in every age group over the last 83 years and they show no sign of slowing down.

In 2014, the league partitioned into two geographic divisions which operated as separate competitions with separate premiers.[1] In this season, the seven-team western division comprised Nar Nar Goon, Garfield, Cora Lynn, Koo-wee-rup, Bunyip, Catani and Lang Lang; and the eastern division, with eight clubs, comprised Nyora, Poowong, Ellinbank, Nilma-Darnum, Warragul Industrials, Buln Buln, Neerim-Neerim South and Longwarry. This partition lasted only one year, and the league will compete as a single division again from 2015.[2]
