Embrace - A Glorious Day Live in Leeds 2005 is the DVD of English rock band Embrace's performances at the Millennium Square, in the centre of Leeds, on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29 May 2005.
The weekend was officially classed as a festival, although being named after a single of theirs which was released the following day. Featuring 8 other bands of similar styles, all up-and-coming, and some had previously supported Embrace on recent tours.
These bands included Anechoic, a local band from Leeds who drummer Mike Heaton had personally signed. Thirteen Senses, Subways, Hard-Fi, the Ordinary Boys and Longview are already beginning to have chart success and Infrasound and the Engineers are also beginning to take off nationally having had some big support slots.
It was their most prestigious gig to date, as not only was it near their hometown, it also attracted around 8,000 people - some of whom ventured from opposite ends of the country or even the world.
Like their other live DVDs, it also features a documentary surrounding the hysteria of the gig.
