Emmett Cleary (born April 27, 1990) is an American football offensive tackle for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). Cleary previously played for the Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders. Cleary played college football at Boston College.

Professional career

Indianapolis Colts

On April 13, 2013, Cleary was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts. After competing for a roster spot during their training camp he was waived/injured, placed on IR and later waived with an injury settlement. [1]

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On October 16, 2013, Cleary was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.[2]

Oakland Raiders

On June 19, 2014, he was waived by the Buccaneers and claimed by the Raiders. The Raiders released Cleary on August 24, 2014.[3]

Cincinnati Bengals

On September 16, 2014, he was added to the Bengals' practice squad.[4]

New York Giants

On January 13, 2015, Cleary signed a reserve/future contract with the New York Giants. On September 5, 2015, he was waived by the Giants.[5] On September 6, 2015, he was signed to the Giants' practice squad.[6] On November 16, 2015, he was elevated to the active roster.[7]
