Alliance Global Group
Alliance Global Group, Inc., styled on its logo as AllianceGlobal and also known as Alliance Global, Inc. (AGI) (PSE: AGI), is a large holding company with business activities spanning the food and beverage industry (including both production and restaurant operations), gambling, and real estate development.
It is one of the largest companies based in the Philippines, and is controlled by the family of its chairman and CEO Andrew L. Tan.[1] The company headquarters is in the Bagumbayan area of Quezon City in the Manila metropolitan area (the national capital region of the Philippines) on the island of Luzon.
It is composed of several companies, including:[2]
- Emperador, Inc. – A beverage production company best known for its Emperador brandy, which became the world's best-selling brandy (by volume) in 2006.[3] As of December 2015, Emperador is also the owner of Fundador Pedro Domecq, Spain’s largest and oldest brandy, as well as three other brands, Terry Centenario, Tres Capas, and Harveys, having acquired them from Beam Suntory.[4]
- Megaworld – A real estate development company.[3] It has subsidiaries that include Empire East, Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI) and Suntrust Properties. It was dubbed by Finance Asia, a business tabloid, as the "best managed company" and the "best in corporate governance" in the Philippines for 2006.[5]
- Travellers International – A real estate resort development company (d/b/a Resorts World Manila)
- Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC) – An operator of McDonald's franchises.[5]
