Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission

The Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission [1] (Chinese: 中央军事委员会装备发展部) is the chief organ under the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China. It was founded on January 11, 2016 under Xi Jinping's military reforms.[2] The predecessor is People's Liberation Army General Armaments Department.

The Department continues to oversee and improve military technology. Its current director is Zhang Youxia.
