National Road 3 (also known as Jõhvi-Tartu-Valga maantee; Jõhvi-Tartu-Valga highway) begins from Jõhvi. After this the road runs through the city (Rakvere street) for 3,1 km, after which it crosses the city limits. The Jõhvi-Tartu-Valga highway runs diagonally across Estonia. The highway ends on the T6 at Valga.
Route
The T3 is a part of the European route E264. The total length of the road is 219,3 km, making it the second longest route in Estonia.
