Evaristo de Oliveira Costa Merigo and commonly known simply as Evaristo Costa (born August 30, 1976 in São José dos Campos) is a Brazilian journalist.[1]

He graduated in Journalism at Social Communication in Universidade Braz Cubas of Mogi das Cruzes. Costa joined in the profession in 1995. when he was yet in college and worked in a TV producer studio during two years, having then migrated to TV Vanguarda, initially as a producer and then passing to reporter function and presenter. on September 1999, was transferred to TV Globo, where was a reporter for Mais Você program, hosted by Ana Maria Braga.

In 2001, Costa moved to SPTV, São Paulo local newsprogram. Then he presented the weather forecast of Globo Rural, SPTV, Bom Dia Brasil and Jornal Nacional until 2 February 2004, when Costa became co-host of the midday newsprogramJornal Hoje with Sandra Annenberg, function which he still performs.[2]

In February 2015 Costa briefly joined the Fantástico team, replacing Tadeu Schmidt during the holidays.[3]
